          Caponga is a great little tour to add to your daily itinerary. As always, it is instructive to note that many times, you trade the comfort of asphalt under your tires for dirt roads which lead to little seen scenes of incomparable beauty.
          Caponga is a favorite weekend spot for the locals, so there are quite a few summerhouses, good to great hotels, and nice restaurants. Even so, Caponga is a great example of that most peculiar of Ceara sights, the past mingling with the future, because even though Caponga has been around for centuries, it wasn't until the mid 80's that it became known as a tourist destination.
          Caponga is still one of the most important fishing centers along the Ceara coast, and the Jangadas coming and going on the sea makes it an almost irresistible picture.
